Gone In $600K: An Eleanor Mustang for Sale In Germany

While they may be an uncommon sight there, musclecars have a always had a strong niche following throughout Europe. Nowhere is this niche stronger than in Porscheland itself: Germany. Turning up for sale recently is a hot rodded 1967 Mustang Shelby GT500 clone. This is no ordinary GT500, this pony is the evil fraternal twin to the famed Eleanor Mustang from the 2000 movie Gone in Sixty Seconds.
This Mustang was built by Classic Recreations, the official licensed builders of the Eleanor Mustang. Like the movie car, this pony received a facelift thanks to it’s Eleanor body kit. Her interior was overhauled as well with new seats, racing gauges and the Hurst GO BABY GO shifter made famous in the movie’s climatic chase. Instead of sporting Eleanor’s signature silver paint job with black stripes, this twin has been sprayed in a coat of black with gold stripes.
Perhaps this Eleanor is the one Memphis receives at the end of the movie?
While the car in the movie was powered by a 351ci that produced 385 horsepower, the evil twin is powered by a 464ci engine which produces a massive 770 horsepower. This would have been more than enough power for Memphis to out run LA’s finest and make it to the docks long before the deadline.

This twin is selling for the staggering price of €490,000 ($673,000). Are you willing to pay this much for an Eleanor or would you just boost her in 60 seconds instead?

Der Wagen wird derzeit in mobile angeboten. Bemerkenswert ist für mich, und deswegen schreibe ich hier darüber, das in einem US-Magazin darüber berichtet wird.
